Women In business began with a simple idea: networking could be more meaningful. After experiencing networking groups that often focused more on socializing than building genuine business relationships, founders Michelle and Amy envisioned something different.
What started with a conversation and a mind map grew into a community built on intentional connections, shared resources, genuine support, and the belief that we succeed by helping each other succeed.
In January 2025, WIBRVA grew again with Afreen Gootee joined Michelle and Amy as a business partner and Educational Outreach Liaison.
Afreen brings WIBRVA's mission beyond the business community and onto campuses, working with schools, colleges, and universities to help prepare the next generation to network, build relationships, and lead with confidence.
As WIBRVA enters a new chapter, we're going deeper-not wider. We're focusing on what matters most; intentional networking, meaningful relationships, shared resources, and genuine support for women in business.
With Michelle, Amy, and Afreen each bringing their own perspectives and strengths, WIBRVA is evolving into a community where connection has purpose and everyone has the opportunity to lead with confidence.
